โš ๏ธ Critical Warning

The Daily Loss Limit (DLL) should never be used as a stop loss.

Using it as one may cause your account to breach the Trailing Max Drawdown due to slippage in volatile market conditions.

  • The DLL is not a hard stop and does not trigger exactly at the set limit.

  • Losses may exceed the DLL before the system protection activates.

  • TheFundingFutures is not responsible for additional losses if the DLL is used as a stop loss strategy.

๐Ÿง  Overview

The Daily Loss Limit (DLL) applies to all Growth and Lightning Funded accounts.

Once your account hits the DLL, trading is paused for the rest of the day to ensure risk control.

This is a soft breach, meaning you can resume trading the next trading day โ€” as long as you havenโ€™t breached your Trailing Max Drawdown.

When your account reaches 6% profit, the DLL will automatically increase to match your drawdown amount.

This adjustment takes effect the following market session (not immediately).

โœ… Key Benefits

  • Risk Management: Helps protect gains and improve account longevity.

  • Discipline: Promotes consistent and structured trading behavior.

  • Emotional Control: Prevents revenge trading or emotional decisions after large drawdowns.

๐Ÿ“˜ Example

Starting Balance: $100,000

Daily Loss Limit: $2,500

If your account loses $2,500 in a single day, trading is paused.

However, if your End-of-Day Trailing Drawdown is within $2,000, reaching that point will result in a hard breach and account failure.
